How to Read a Supplement Facts Label

A Supplement Facts panel is the best starting point for understanding what a dietary supplement actually declares.

Written by GetProstadinee Editorial Team

Start with serving size

Every amount on the panel is tied to the stated serving. Compare serving size with directions so you know what quantity produces the listed nutrient amounts.

Understand Daily Value

% Daily Value helps place certain nutrients in context. Not every botanical has an established Daily Value.

Proprietary blends

A proprietary blend may disclose a total weight without disclosing each ingredient’s individual amount. That limits dose-by-dose evaluation.

Label facts are not efficacy proof

Even a complete ingredient list does not by itself establish that the finished product has been clinically proven to produce a particular outcome.
